Grants are awarded to support the education of young people under the age of 25 in North Wales, particularly those from a low-income or otherwise disadvantaged background. Grant funding is typically provided for:
- The relief of student hardship
- Outdoor education projects that build leadership and develop personal qualities
- Projects that improve pupil inclusiveness
- Small capital projects that enhance education
- Projects that enrich the learning experience of pupils/students

Who might be eligible for a Thomas Howell’s Education Fund grant?
Schools, colleges and other charitable organisations can apply for grants to promote the education of young people living in North Wales who are under the age of 25.
Organisations other than schools or colleges should also provide their most recent audited accounts:

When can I apply?
You can apply at any time of the year. Applications are considered at meetings in October, March and June.
The next meeting dates are:
15 March 2012
14 June 2012
In order to be considered, completed applications should be submitted at least four weeks before these meeting dates.
When will I hear if I have been successful?
Applicants are usually told the outcome in writing, within two weeks of the meeting date.
