The Estate
 
Edmanson’s Close was built in Bruce Grove, Tottenham in 1870 ‘for the poor, elderly people of Tottenham and Bow’. The Almshouses are surrounded by picturesque gardens.
 
The Estate consists of 48 studios, two one-bedroom flats and 10 two-bedroom flats, all of which are self-contained.
 
Facilities for residents include a Community Hall for social activities, a Chapel and a laundry. A guest room for the use of family and friends of residents is also available. There is an active social club, organized by the residents, providing a range of activities and outings.
 
Eligibility
You can apply to live at Edmanson’s Close if you are 65 years of age or over, are currently resident in the London Borough of Haringey, or the Bow district of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, - have limited financial means and a real housing need.  Applicants will be asked to provide details of their financial circumstances to demonstrate their need for such accommodation.
