The elegant Drawing Room, with its 19th century décor and furnishings, has changed little since it was designed by Herbert Williams and John G. Crace between 1866 and 1870.
The perfect setting for pre-dinner drinks, the room’s historic features include Thorvaldsen’s statue, The Shepherd Boy, Herbert Draper’s painting, The Gates of Dawn, which celebrates the turn of the century, and the original Aubusson-style carpet commissioned in 1925 from the Morris & Co. factory. Other talking points include Lorne McKean’s bust of the Queen and Anita Lafford’s sculpture of The Prince of Wales.
We regret that food cannot be served in the Drawing Room.
The beautifully designed, historic garden and courtyard, provide a hidden gem for your guests to marvel at.
